Kitap Hakkında
Artificial intelligence has become one of the most transformative forces shaping modern connected systems. The rapid development of the Internet of Things, sensor networks, edge computing, machine learning, deep learning, and intelligent decision-making technologies has changed the way data is collected, processed, analyzed, and transformed into meaningful actions. Today, connected systems are no longer limited to passive data transmission; they increasingly operate as intelligent, adaptive, and autonomous infrastructures capable of supporting real-time decisions in various application domains.
Artificial Intelligence Supported Connected Systems: IoT, Sensor Networks, Edge AI, and Intelligent Applications has been prepared to bring together contemporary academic perspectives on this transformation. The book focuses on the integration of artificial intelligence with connected systems and examines this integration through conceptual discussions, systematic reviews, experimental analyses, and application-oriented studies. In this respect, the volume aims to contribute to a better understanding of how intelligent technologies reshape IoT architectures, sensor-based systems, edge intelligence, cybersecurity, smart cities, biomedical signal analysis, electric vehicles, and other emerging application areas.
The chapters included in this book address different but complementary dimensions of artificial intelligence-supported connected systems. Some chapters focus on the conceptual foundations of AI, IoT, sensor networks, and edge computing, while others examine AIoT applications, Edge AI security, prompt injection and LLM security in IoT environments, machine learning and deep learning-based signal classification, fuzzy logic in machine learning and natural language processing, and artificial intelligence applications in electric vehicles. Together, these chapters provide a multidisciplinary framework for researchers, graduate students, engineers, academicians, and practitioners interested in intelligent connected technologies.
One of the main motivations behind this edited volume is to present artificial intelligence not only as a computational tool but also as a decision-support and system-intelligence layer. In connected systems, the value of artificial intelligence emerges from its ability to interpret distributed data, learn from complex patterns, support autonomous decision-making, improve security, and enhance the efficiency of real-time applications. Therefore, this book seeks to highlight both the technical foundations and the practical implications of AI-supported connected systems.
We believe that this book will serve as a useful academic reference for readers who wish to understand the current state, challenges, and future directions of intelligent connected systems. The interdisciplinary structure of the book reflects the growing need to examine artificial intelligence, IoT, sensor networks, edge computing, cybersecurity, and application domains within a unified framework.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all contributing authors for their valuable chapters and academic efforts. Their contributions have made it possible to present a broad and contemporary perspective on artificial intelligence-supported connected systems. We also hope that this volume will encourage further research, collaboration, and innovation in the design, analysis, and deployment of intelligent connected infrastructures.
